Nançay Decametric 35mm Film Observations Logs Collection V1.0

Wednesday 5 October 2022, by Baptiste Cecconi

This collection contains the observation logs of 35mm film decametric observations of Jupiter and the Sun performed daily in Nançay with the Nançay Decameter Array (NDA) from 1978 to 1991 and with the Nançay Decameter Inteferometer (NDI) from 1970 to 1977.

Description

This collection contains the observation logs of decametric observations of Jupiter and the Sun performed daily in Nançay with the Nançay Decameter Array (NDA) from 1978 to 1991 and with the Nançay Decameter Inteferometer (NDI) from 1970 to 1977 (Boischot, 1974 ; Boischot et al., 1980). These observations were originally recorded on 35mm film rolls and facsimiles, presently archived at the Observatory of Paris in Meudon (Lamy et al., 2017, Cecconi et al., 2018). This digitization project was made possible through funding support from: Collex Gis-Persée (french ministry of culture), Observatoire de Paris (ESTERS group, scientific council), The radioastronomy station of Nançay and CNES.

Content

The collection is composed of 9943 digitised observation log sheets (PDF format), contains the observations conditions of the 35mm observations (L. Lamy et al, https://doi.org/10.25935/QRMQ-X194).
