New Extension in Nançay Upgrading LOFAR (NenuFAR) Instrument
Description
NenuFAR (New Extension in Nançay Upgrading LOFAR) is a radio telescope installed at the Nançay Radioastronomy Observatory in Sologne. It operates in the frequency range between 10 MHz and 85 MHz, enabling the detection of electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths between 4 m and 30 m. The main scientific objectives of NenuFAR are to detect the radio signal due to the appearance of the first stars in the Universe and to identify the signature of plasma interactions between giant exoplanets and their star.
